Individual therapy, the most common form of counseling, provides you an opportunity to meet one-on-one regularly with a reliable and relatable therapist to explore your feelings, early life experiences, and any personal difficulties you are currently facing. Individual therapy is unique and provides support in areas of your life where you feel stuck or inadequate.  It increases your understanding of the way you engage with the world and with yourself; while assisting you in developing insight into patterns creating difficulties in your life. A deeper sense of self produces healing, healthy self-esteem, professional development, and puts you on a journey to becoming a better you. 

Couples therapy is joint counseling for you and your partner. Sessions are tailored around facilitating healthy communication between both partners. The desired outcome is to identify harmful patterns impacting your relationship.  A collaborative approach to this form of therapy, creates an environment where both of you gain a deeper understanding of what the other is going through and to learn to share responsibility for your relationship. If you are experiencing confusion and tension in your relationship, are having issues related to sex, intimacy and fidelity, or would like to deepen your connection to your partner, couples counseling might be right for you.

Family therapy is a unique opportunity for family members to collaboratively work together with a skilled professional.  Sessions provide the freedom to discuss creating stress, tension and distance within the family unit. Not all families function as a cohesive unit and when misunderstandings and disagreements go unaddressed, frustration and tension pushes families apart. I am here to help your family explore your unique history and identify troublesome family dynamics, with the ultimate goal of establishing and maintaining equilibrium. Siblings or parent and child dyads are welcome. If you and your family members are experiencing complicated family dynamics that has impacted your ability to love and is causing insurmountable stress, then family therapy might be right for you.

Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy. Sessions involves attendance by several individuals, working to describe and confront their problems together.  Groups typically meet upon an agreed upon time for approximately one hour weekly. Primarily geared toward a specific topic, such as depression, substance abuse, grief, etc., groups provide members to celebrate collective achievements, facilitates deeper conversations, helps members to see they are not alone, and promotes, hope, ambition with the support of fellow group members.    

Supervision is an awesome experience if you find the right person. Providing an environment for you to explore your personal and emotional reactions to your work; supervision allows you an opportunity to reflect on challenges within a safe and confidential environment.  As a supervisee, you will receive feedback on your skills, engage in professional development, develop positive time management skills, identify developmental needs, and receive support to revalidate who you are as a social worker.  Nurturing and engaging, supervision promotes critical reflection and has a positive impact on your overall emotional well-being. 

Professional development is designed to improve knowledge and skills in a specific area, in order to effectively facilitate and carry out the mission and objectives of your organization. Helping to break up the monotony of everyday work and re-energize creativity among your members, professional development garners new skills and perspectives; which translates into satisfaction and overall improvement. It allows an opportunity to better meet the needs of your consumers, constituents, students, etc. Whether you are in need of a professional coach, mentor, leadership training, assistance resolving conflict, developing healthy communication skills, or technical assistance, one of the most important things you can do for your organization is professional development training.
